Server Trusted Root CAs
Why Verify SSL Certificates?
SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) / TLS certificates are essential for encrypting data between your user and the server. An expired or misconfigured certificate triggers security warnings (like "Your connection is not private") that scare away 99% of visitors.
Common SSL Issues
- Expiration: Certificates are typically valid for 90 days (Let's Encrypt) or 1 year. Forgetting to renew is a common cause of downtime.
- Chain Issues: If intermediate certificates are missing, some devices (especially older Android phones) might reject the connection.
- Self-Signed: Great for development, but triggers errors in production browsers unless the Root CA is manually trusted.
Use the "View Local Stores" feature above to see if your server environment is missing any Root CAs required to trust your certificate.
